Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is my primary approach for couples work. We’ll identify the cycle that keeps you stuck, slow things down, and create safer ways of communicating, especially when conflict, distance, or repeated misunderstandings take over. If you’re healing from infidelity, navigating high reactivity, or feeling emotionally shut down, we’ll work at a pace that supports safety and stability and restores emotional closeness.
When trauma, anxiety, or anger are present, we can integrate CBT strategies to build emotional regulation skills, reduce escalation, and improve coping and flexibility. Therapy helps each partner respond in new ways so communication can improve and the relationship can be repaired, while also allowing trauma to be healed. The goal is a relationship that feels more stable, respectful, and connected.
